Even outside the guest rooms, Chatham Bars Inn amenities are outstanding, which is hardly surprising considering this is a 5-star hotel. A few notable services include the award-winning full-service spa, ocean view outdoor pool, and regular events such as yoga classes and cooking classes. And with multiple restaurants on-site, dining options range from casual bites to fine dining, with menus that highlight fresh, locally sourced seafood. Breakfast is included with select packages only.

Most rooms also have a special feature or two, such as views of the bay or gardens, private patios, or cozy seating areas.

Guests are treated to a complimentary European-style breakfast each morning, served on the terrace overlooking the water. Additional amenities include a private swimming dock and pebble beach perfect for launching kayaks or relaxing by the water, concierge service, daily housekeeping, complimentary coffee and tea, beach towels, and more.

Finally, the inn is open seasonally, pets are not allowed, and the inn provides free parking and easy access to nearby beaches and attractions.

The Inn at Yarmouth Port

The Inn at Yarmouth Port is a cozy bed & breakfast in the heart of Yarmouth. It was originally built by Captain James Bacon Crocker who occupied the home from 1804-1883, you’ll love the historic details throughout this spacious property.

The rooms blend historic touches with luxurious amenities and are simple yet comfortable, offering essentials like king size beds, flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, and private bathrooms with luxury toiletries.

Guests can enjoy complimentary homemade breakfast each morning, made with ingredients from the garden when available, as well as snacks and baked goods from the butler’s pantry. You’re also welcome to utilize the outdoor patio and fire pit, garden space, music parlor, and other relaxing guest areas.

While there’s no on-site dinner option, the inn’s central location offers easy access to nearby restaurants and other attractions.

The Inn at Yarmouth Port provides complimentary parking, is open year-round to those over 21, and does not allow pets.

Which Town To Stay In On Cape Cod?

Wondering which town in Cape Cod is best for you? This section will help you better understand the area’s layout.

Imagine the Cape as an arm flexing its bicep. The Cape/arm is divided into four sections:

• Upper Cape – The “shoulder” where the Cape meets the rest of Massachusetts – there are less towns here and it’s a bit quieter than the rest of the Cape. 
• Mid Cape – The “bicep” of the arm – most Cape Cod towns are in this area.
• Lower Cape – The “elbow” and the portion between the bicep and forearm – there are a lot of towns in this area.
• Outer Cape – The “forearm” and “fist” – the forearm has very few towns and little hotel options, the fist is full of life though thanks to the beloved city of Provincetown. 

Cape Cod is about 65 miles long with the main highway, Route 6, running from end to end. To drive from one end to the other requires about 1.5 hours, assuming traffic is flowing decently. 

You will need a car here. The area’s many attractions are spread out and public transportation is limited.

For those visiting Cape Cod for the first time, I think it’s best to stay in the central portion of the Cape — Mid Cape or Lower Cape. This will allow you to explore attractions throughout the area without wasted hours in the car. Towns such as Orleans, Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, Harwich, or Chatham would qualify.

Hyannis is the Cape’s largest town, located near the “shoulder.” It’s a great place to stock up on supplies or catch a ferry, but it’s not my favorite spot to stay, so I excluded Hyannis hotels from this list.

Falmouth and Sandwich are on the quieter side, since they’re more remote than other towns, so I also limited how many hotels I featured in these areas.

Provincetown and Truro are also fairly remote, however Provincetown is an extremely popular city, always bustling with activity. If you’re looking for top-notch nightlife and cultural attractions during your Cape getaway, the Provincetown area is worth staying in.

As you can see, there are some really beautiful hotels in Cape Cod, from luxurious 5-star resorts to cozy bed and breakfasts, there are options for everyone. I hope you’ve found this helpful in planning your trip and have the best time!
