Teller House formed in 1896 when a local brewery owner decided to build the hotel. The site is named after Henry Teller, an influential politician in Colorado during the era. The building has been updated many times since its opening, today guests will enjoy modern amenities amid historic charm.

There are several different room types with varying amenities at the Teller. The majority come with a private bathroom, however the smallest (single queen) does not. There is also free WiFi, complimentary toiletries, a hair dryer, and heating. Unfortunately, there is no AC, however each room is outfitted with a fan.

Teller House offers a wonderful concierge service upon check-in, however, there is no on-site restaurant or free breakfast. Guests are welcome to complimentary coffee and tea each morning though. Additionally, the hotel is located in downtown Silverton which boasts many different options for dining.

Pets are not permitted on the premises.

The Avon is a lovely hotel full of history, a perfect place to land during your adventure holiday. Built in 1904, the property has been renovated multiple times over to protect the incredible architecture both inside and out.

There are 14 unique rooms on the property, with three tiers: private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, private rooms and a shared bath, and hostel-style lodging with shared facilities. There is no air conditioning, but each room will have a fan. It should also be noted that there is free WiFi throughout the building.

While there is no complimentary breakfast, there is free coffee and a bar located on the main floor lounge. Guests are also encouraged to check out the Rock Room, currently being renovated into a music venue. There is no parking, but Silverton provides an abundant amount of parking spaces steps away from The Avon.

Pets are welcome, at no additional cost, however there are conditions including a 2 pet maximum.

Grand Imperial Hotel

Originally known as the Thomson Block, W.S. Thomson, a perfume importer from New York City commissioned the hotel in 1882. For many years after, it stood as the epitome of luxury in the region. The building is so spacious, in fact, that the entire second floor was used for town and county seat officials for 25 years.

In 2015, the historic hotel was purchased by local railroad owners of the famed Durango-Silverton line, the Harper Family. The Grand Imperial is now a luxurious staple of Silverton, having been carefully restored, honoring its historic past. It’s an attractive place to stay for any visitor who wishes for mining-era immersion.

The Grand Imperial boasts several different lodging options. All rooms come with a private, en-suite bathroom. There is no air conditioning, however every room does have a ceiling fan. Premium linens, flat screen TVs, heating, and free WiFi are just some of the many other amenities included.

While there is no complimentary breakfast, there is an on-site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a beautiful Victorian bar for libations.
